Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Fischer composite and wood hockey sticks, sizing, 3-pack bundles, shipping, and warranty coverage.

1. How do I choose the right stick flex?

A standard starting rule for hockey players is to select a flex rating roughly equal to half your body weight in pounds (e.g., a 170 lb player should start with an 75-85 flex). If you rely heavily on quick wrist and snapshots, select a slightly lower flex. If you take heavy slapshots from the point, consider a stiffer flex. See our complete Stick Fitting & Curve Guide for detailed height and weight charts.

2. What happens to the flex when I cut down my stick?

Cutting a composite hockey shaft shortens the lever arm, making the stick stiffer. As a general guideline, every 1 inch cut from the top of the shaft increases effective flex by approximately 3 to 5 flex points. For example, cutting 2 inches off an 85 Flex Senior stick will make it feel like an ~92-95 Flex stick. Learn more in our Stick Care & Cutting Guide.

3. How do Fischer curves compare to Bauer, CCM, and True?

Fischer blade curves directly mirror standard industry patterns:
• P92 is identical to Bauer P92/P29 and CCM P29/P92 (the classic mid-toe curve).
• P28 is identical to Bauer P28 and CCM P28 (the modern open-toe toe drag pattern).
• P88 is identical to Bauer P88 and CCM P88 (the traditional mid-curve puck control pattern).
• P31 is our premier goalie curve (standard mid-curve paddle pattern).

4. How do 3-Pack Value Bundles work?

Our 3-Pack Stick Bundles provide direct-to-player savings on pro-grade composite and wood sticks. Bundles allow you to secure multiple backup sticks at a substantial discount with free standard shipping. For custom curve or flex combinations within a bundle, please contact Customer Care.

5. What is the Fischer 30-Day Stick Warranty?

All new Fischer composite hockey sticks include a 30-day limited manufacturer warranty against factory defects and on-ice breakage under normal gameplay conditions. The 30 days begin from the verified carrier delivery date. To submit a claim, email photos of the break and serial barcode to support@fischerhockey.net. Full details are available on our Warranty Policy page.

6. How are hockey sticks shipped and packaged?

Hockey sticks are shipped in heavy-duty, reinforced corrugated triangular boxes specifically engineered to withstand transit impacts and prevent blade crushing. Most in-stock orders ship within 1-2 business days via FedEx/UPS Ground. Review our full Shipping & Delivery Policy for delivery estimates.

7. Do you offer team, club, or association volume discounts?

Yes! We partner directly with minor hockey associations, high school teams, junior programs, and adult leagues to provide tiered bulk pricing on sticks, gloves, and accessories. Visit our Team & Association Sales page to submit an inquiry.
